Canada's PNP programs provide pathways for those seeking permanent residence. The PNPs allow provinces to select immigrants destined to their province, in an effort to attract and retain those who wish to settle permanently in the province and contribute to economic activity. PNP programs are great for international students seeking permanent residence in Canada.

Express entry

The express entry program chooses skilled workers based on their skills and ability to contribute to Canada’s economy. It is a points based system in which candidates with the highest points are invited to apply for permanent residence. Express Entry speeds up the immigration process for qualified candidates and aims to approve permanent resident applications within six months.

Canada welcomes more than 35 million temporary residents each year. A citizen of any foreign country who wishes to travel or transit through a Canadian airport must first obtain a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). 

caregiver program

The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot are 5-year pilot programs that let qualified caregivers and their family members come to Canada with the goal of becoming permanent residents. If you have been offered a job in Canada as a caregiver or have experience working in Canada as a caregiver, you may be able to apply for permanent residence through one of these pilots.
