VISITOR VISA
A visitor visa is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office that is placed in your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident for tourism and visiting family or friends.
Eligibility
In order to obtain a TRV you need to satisfy some conditions while you apply to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Some of these conditions are as follows:
Visitors are authorized to stay for 6 months or till their validity of visa which ever comes first. Once you are in Canada, if you decide to stay beyond the authorized period, you must make a formal request to IRCC for an extension. You must continue to meet the above requirements. If you are denied an extension, you must leave Canada immediately.
NOTE : Visitors are not allowed to work in Canada without proper authorization from IRCC.

- Must have a valid passport, proof of identity or other travel documents
- Must prove that you will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay
- Must satisfy the visa officer that you have strong ties to your home country (e.g. a job, home and family)
- Must have sufficient funds for yourself and any accompanying family members coming with you for the duration of your stay
- Must be healthy and may require to undergo a medical exam if required
- May require a letter of invitation from a family or a friend who lives in Canada
