Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)
The SINP attracts qualified individuals who plan to live in Saskatchewan after obtaining permanent residence. If an individual is nominated through the SINP they may apply for permanent residence through IRCC.
There are four SINP categories you may apply to:
1. International Skilled Worker Category: This category is for skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan. Individuals must meet education, skilled work experience, language abilities and other factors to be nominated under this category. Applicants must also be eligible under the any of the following sub-categories:
i) International Skilled Worker- Employment Offer
ii) International Skilled Worker- Occupations In-Demand
iii) International Skilled Worker- Saskatchewan Express Entry
2. Saskatchewan Experience Category: This category is for foreign nationals currently working and living in Saskatchewan. Streams under this category include:
i) Applicants with existing work permit: Individuals who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months on a valid work permit
ii) Health Profession: Individuals who have worked as a physician, nurse, or in another health profession in Saskatchewan for at least six months
iii) Hospitality Sector Project: Currently working in one of the following jobs for at least six months on a valid work permit:
a) Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff
b) Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper
c) Food/Beverage Server
iv) Long Haul Truck Driver Project:
a) Working for an SINP approved trucking firm for at least six months on a valid work permit
b) Have a Saskatchewan Class 1A drivers license
c) Meet language requirements
d) Have a valid permanent job offer
v) Student:
a) Graduated from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Saskatchewan.
b) Worked for a minimum of six months or (960 hours) of paid employment in Saskatchewan
c) Currently hold a PGWP
d) Have a permanent, full-time job offer in your field of study
e) Meet language requirements
3. Entrepreneur Category: There are four steps to the nomination process:
i) Expression of Interest (EOI) submission to the SINP
ii) EOI Selection and Invitation to Submit an Application
iii) Candidates' EOIs are selected based on their points score with those with the highest points selected during each draw.
iv) After candidates are invited to apply, applications are processed in the order that they are received.
v) Business Establishment
vi) Nomination
Some of the minimum entry criteria that must be met are:
4. Farm Category: This category is for those who’d like to move to Saskatchewan and who:
i) Have proven experience in farming;
ii) Have considerable capital (money, assets) to invest in a farming operation; and
ii) Plan to buy and run a farm in Saskatchewan

- $500,00 CAD in Net Business and Personal Assets
- Minimum of three years of management or entrepreneur experience
- Creation of two employment opportunities for Canadians or Permanent Residents

i) Have proven experience in farming;
ii) Have considerable capital (money, assets) to invest in a farming operation; and
ii) Plan to buy and run a farm in Saskatchewan
To be eligible under this category you will need:
- Available equity: demonstrate net worth of $500,000 CAD
- Refundable Cash Deposit: $75,000
- Exploratory Visitor to Saskatchewan
- Farm Operation Knowledge and Experience
- Business Proposal
